Procedural system / combine geo

Really have fun with the procedural system but trying to hook up cloners or like this
seem not to work or I might be doing it wrong
Here is a simple set to illustrate

You may just need to change the distance offset - try pulling it in the negative direction and seeing if the nodes show up. definitely works, as i quickly tested here -
