Pause data stream or pause sound input

Hello I have an object reacting to the sound via the sound modifier. I need to be able to pause the object via Disguise but I can’t pause the d3 timeline - as i need to pause and fade.

Is there a way to pause the data stream from the sound modifier or the input sound? Or even expose the master pause in Notch?

You could turn the attack parameter on the Sound Modifier down to 0. Or for a bit more control, have the value from the Sound Modifier go into a Smooth Envelope Modifier with very high Attack and Decay values. Then to “pause” the Sound Modifier, just turn the Scale to 0 and at the same time turn the Decay on the Smooth Envelope Modifier to a low value. The lower the slower for Attack and Decay.
