Slowly return to origin when lacking input

I’m sure this is simple but my non-coder brain is hitting a bit of a wall.

What I want to achieve is a camera that is moved by a sound modifiers value increasing, but when the sound modifier value drops (which with my source sounds will happen quickly as I’m using stems) I want the camera to return to origin slowly.

So it moves away from origin quickly, but returns slowly.

I’m sure this can be achieved quite easily but would really appreciate some pointers!

My gut reaction here would be to use the Smooth envelope modifier with a high attack (~10) and a low decay (~0.5), but it depends setup you are working with. If you have a dfx you could upload to help me understand, I’d be happy to take a look.
