Hello, I’m wondering if anyone knows how to achieve an effect like this? How to transition from one landscape to another (or particularly to no landscape at all to see a world underneath) using this rippling emission effect in the video below.
Yeh this looks fairly doable. Assuming you have a before / after texture map, You’d need to do the transition for each texture map using the video compositing notes, and standard masking techniques. Blend between the two states before they going into a material, and just branch out the options into the various material inputs.
we’ll have a new process in the next release which could make this a bit easier, but for now this process is pretty flexible - just a bit node heavy
