Problem with Volumetric Lighting

I’m trying to set up a simple scene with volumetric shadows, but I cant get it to work. I’ve tried to follow the manual but it doesnt really help. Also turned on defered rendering in the root node. What am I missing?

Have you turned up scattering intensity in the light node?
