Id like to know if possible to render PointCloud Data coming from a LaserScanner/lidar data (format like x,y,z,R,G,B or E57 or many other format )
thanks a lot
We can only load Point Meshes from C4D, so you can import your PointCloud into C4D then import it into Notch. You can then use the particle mesh emitter to generate the point cloud.
sorry again im not a c4d expert …could you please point me in what direction to look for inside the manual or command or youtube tutorial to understand such process ?
Could be a second option to convert in some way that data in a Realflow data ?
I believe you need the “Lazpoint” plugin. I haven’t done this myself so I’m afraid I can’t tell you how to do it, but that’s how some other Notch users have done it - if anyone here has, please do tell.
thanks a lot… i saw the demo and that let me import into cinema 4d such pointcloud , what im missing is also how to output toward Notch , i still would like to treat them like Pointcloud or Particle and Not like mesh/triangle.
thanks again for youre help and any other advice would be much appreciated
While I can’t help you with exporting from C4D, Once you import the file, you can use the Particle Mesh Emitter to create particles at all the points in the Pointcloud, and it can be treated in a particle system.
