I’m looking to get a new machine, and I noticed the RTX2060 is not on the NotchMarks list, I’m wondering where it would fall - under the RTX 2080? Would it work well for Notch?
What about the GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q?
(I’m in the $1000-$2000 range (laptop) if anyone has a recommendations).
Thank you so much,
Harry
Hi @harrywildegreer
The Notchmarks list only features GPUs with a significant number of independent tests, so not all GPUs will be featured in it. A simple cheat sheet for figuring out how a GPU will fare is comparing that GPU to something that’s in the list using a 3rd party benchmarking site (like this one which indicates the 2060 is about 30% slower than a 2080).
As for the RTX 2070 Max-Q, it’s a great mobile GPU - I have the same in my Razer laptop.
I have 2070 maxq in a laptop(razer blade) and 2080ti in desktop computer. Both Works great.
2070 maxq about 17000 in notchmark, 2080ti - 37000. The amount of video memory is very important for the notch. 2070 max has 8 gigabytes, 2060 only 6 Gb and this is very important!
cool, thank you! Appreciate the reply
