Is there a built in way to fracture 3d models ?

I know we can fracture 3d objects in 3d software like C4d, and then import the fractured model… but I was wondering if there’s build in way.

Ok, I figured it out after a couple of hours of trial and error. I’ll share my findings here for others who might be interested,

Use this node : http://manual.notch.one/1/en/topic/nodes-geometry-shatter-primitive-3d

You can hook up your own model. Select “lightwave Object” in the Shape type of the shatter node attributes.

use a velocity affector with the “repel” settings, play with velocity ammounts for the right kind of explosion  Good times.

Thanks for posting this. I will have to try this out later as this is just like the Voronoi fracture in C4D R18
