Importing Alembic particles

Hi guys! Please, can someone explain me particles as Alembic cache workflow?
I can load alembic as cache over Cache Particle node but how can I extract point color data from it or at least put some reasonable color ramp on top of this cache in Notch?
In all tutorials and examples ramps connected to emitters. But what should I do if I have only Particle Root, Point Render and Cache Particle node with alembic cache (from C4D or Houdini)
