Is there a way to freeze particles in place without pausing Notch? I’m using a Clone to Particles and SPH and Turb affectors and I’d like to freeze the particles in place once they’ve emitted and move the camera around inside the clump of particles. Is this possible?
Definitely possible - you’d want to use the time stretch node for this. Stick it between your particle root and the root node, and when the time parameter is 0, you essentially freeze time. http://manual.notch.one/0.9.23/en/topic/nodes-nodes-time-stretch
You can also use the “master update enabled " Toggle on the particle root node to immediately freeze the position of particles (good if you don’t need easing).
