[Bug] Shape 3D: wrong UVs on the Sphere shape

Hi, Notch Team.
There seems to be a problem with default UVs on the Sphere 3d shape. Screenshot attached.
To repro: take any texture from here: http://planetpixelemporium.com/earth.html.


Hey Andrei, you can use the mapping node to choose a different UV projection. The mapping Node goes into your material node.

Thanks for the hint, but I’ve already tried that. It gets even worse. :frowning:
If you managed to achieve a good result by using Material + Mapping nodes, please attach your file.


Andrei: Yes, this is a known issue and is in our pipeline. In the interim, you will need to import a sphere from another package if you wish to texture map. Tx. Luke
