Simple alpha particle control

Hello, i need to be able to have a particle ‘born’ w/ Alpha 0, hit 1 at some point during it’s life then fade to 0 at death. I can’t seem to figure this out. Any help?

Within the emitter settings, in the material section, check the “Fade in time” and “Fade out time” attributes.
