Point Particle Renderer: How to cast shadows onto other objects in the scene?

Hi, guys.
I can’t find a way to make point particles (sprites) cast shadows onto other objects in the scene (e.g. 3d geometry). I enable the deferred rendering option in the Root Node, connect the Light node (with shadows enabled) to the Root and to the Point Renderer’s light input, turn on the Cast Shadows in the Point Renderer and… nothing happens. Any idea of how it’s supposed to work?
Thank you.

Hi do You mean this?? if something else, please upload Your dfx file :slight_smile:

Hi, Jan.
Yes. Thanks for the input. That’s exactly the effect I’m after. Tested your file in 3 different setups:

  1. Win7 64, Nvidia GeForce GTX780 Drivers ver. 381.89 -> NO PARTICLE SHADOWS
  2. Win7 64, Nvidia GeForce GTX1060 Drivers ver. 381.89 -> NO PARTICLE SHADOWS
  3. Win10 64, Nvidia GeForce GTX1060 Drivers ver. 385.41 -> NO PARTICLE SHADOWS

Looks like a hardware / driver specific issue. Would you mind posting your specs here for me to check them against mine?
Many thanks in advance.
