There is a field cache node and a possibility to bake fields.
However, When i hit ok, nothing happends
have read this manual multiple times over
From what I can tell from your last screenshot you’re missing the cached file in the Field Cache option. Where it says “none” it should say “bake.field”. This option is availble after caching the sim!
The problem is that there’s no file, can’t bake/cache it! “caching the sim” is the issue 
I’ve run a couple tests locally and its working fine - could you upload a project file, and let us know which build you are using?
