Stretching Nodes with Timeline Layer

Hello,

Does anyone know how to have the node layers stretch/follow the timeline layers when I change the length of the timeline layer? Currently having to go into every single node layer and manually change the length of those which probably isn’t the most efficient way to go about it. Any advice would be appreciated!

Cheers,
Nick

After you adjust the timeline layers duration, right click on it and select “Scale children to parent length” and that scales all the containing node layers lengths.

Thanks so much! I realised that holding shift while dragging the timeline layers seemed to do that to, but will try out this method as well!

Nick

Just as a side note to this - check out the Keyboard Shortcuts page in the Notch manual to see a bunch of shortcuts such as Set Node Start, Set Node End, Trim Start, Trim End.

These don’t answer your question above directly but if/when you create layers in which Nodes are supposed to not last the full duration but you need to make changes to their individual durations, it will help save you time.
