Count Active Particles

Hello guys, little question,
I want to count the number of particles alive at a certain moment…
I kind of get that information with an extractor on the emitter with the “num particles Active”…
BUT its working only if I active the “show metrics” on the Particle Root…
Is there a an other way to get that information without having the metric showing up on the screen?

Hi, that is the case. What are you looking to do with the information? I’m wondering if there’s another way to achieve the same result.
